Our Christmas camping trip went off without a hitch. The ride down south was traffic-free, full of laughs and luckily the tents were set up in mere minutes which was great for me since I was thirsty and ready for some wine. The rest of the night was a blur of boardgames and BBQ - quite simply the perfect end to a crazy week.
Despite the weather predicting rain, we awoke to blue skies and headed to the beach before taking a trip inland to the lovely country town of Berry. There was a bit of shopping before ending the night with a game of lawn bowls - which I'd never played and immediately discovered I possess no talent for after launching my ball in any direction except where it was supposed to go. The rain came on Sunday morning but not before we got a chance to relax, knit and catch up on trashy mags while enjoying a cup of tea. After that the cars were packed and back to the big smoke we went. It went by too quickly but I suppose that's the sign of any great weekend...
p.s - congratulations to Alison & Rob on the arrival of little Matthew - can't wait to meet him. x
