Moving On Out...

We're moving.
Yes, after two years in our little nest we are packing up and moving onto the next adventure. Since we don't know exactly what this next adventure is, we've decided to move back in with - brace yourself - the in-laws!

I know what you're thinking. The very thought makes most people recoil in horror or run for the hills but considering J's parents are lovely and generous enough to welcome us (they also just happen to live by the beach), we've decided to embrace the change and go for it. So there you have it. For the next few months we'll be saving our pennies for what will hopefully (eventually) become a deposit for a unit (although with the current market in Sydney this process might take a few trillion light years). The big move happens next weekend and although it's been sad saying goodbye to our little pad (and privacy!), the next few months will be a welcome change...

So the moving date is set! Living by the beach is a definite bonus, and some serious savings can be collected which is awesome! xx

In-laws that live by the beach? Your big move will be more like a holiday. And, you'll have that deposit before you know it. Cha-ching!

That's great you can stand your in-laws - and be able to live with them. Mine are cool and great with the kids - but it's always good to say goodbye after their little visits. Plus for you is saving $$ and near beach - great for summer so lap it up!

Living by the beach sounds blissful, even if it's not in your own home. It's a nice temporary situation! Good luck for the move!

The joys of moving! I had a stint with the in-laws a few years ago and it wasn't that bad - lots of luck with the move and enjoy the beach! Leanne x

Yay for change. We lived with my Mum and then my Dad for a while when we got back from overseas and it was actually really lovely. Of course, they are my parents so I was 100% comfortable but my husband really enjoyed it too. Yummy meals, permanently stocked pantry, good red wine...Good luck with the move.

Moving is such a drag! I don't think any of us would move if we actually remembered how hideous it is. It's a very lovely time of year to be by the beach though ... Kellie xx

Oh good luck Jaclyn! I bet it will be fine and if his parents are lovely then that's a great starting point. And they live by the beach? Maybe I could move in too! hehe

Lucky you have great in-laws! (not me) And with it being over the summer months is prefect with being close to the beach!

Goodluck with the move!
We've been living in a flat in my parents backyard while we saved for the hut. Whilst it has its moments - we couldn't have built the hut otherwise.

Good luck with that!

I lived with my in-laws for five years. MEH! I couldn't wait to get out. But I think my MIL has it in for me with a lot of secret snipey comments. HMPH!

Good luck and best wishes on your big move out. I got on the same situation for 3 years now and was a huge hell in the side of my in laws. as in every move you take has a number and very limited. They were 7 there at home and was so crowded that had forced me to stay inside the room at all time waiting for my husband. Fortunately, i was lucky to get an opportunity in singapore and now living with my dreams. Planning to get the same working permit for my husband so we can be together and live together once again.

This has been posted long time but withing you the best of luck. Just wanna share the same emotion. you know it's a bit sad to move in as always because you've already found your comfort zone but that's not always the thing. Sometimes it's hard to adopt the situation. I'm a migrant here in one of the HDB flats here in Singapore especially with the chinese people of different language.
