It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

Okay, so I figure since it's almost mid December it's perfectly acceptable to be out in the open about my obsession with Christmas. No longer do I have to hide the fact that I listen to Christmas carols in early November (or year round for that matter - they make me happy) or start creating gift lists in early January. I love this time of year even despite all the crazy madness.

I'm still getting used to celebrating Christmas in warm weather - I mean how can you compete with snowy nights and sitting by the fire?  I suppose there is something to be said for BBQ's and warm weather but this Boston girl still isn't convinced - yet.

So I'm enjoying these next few weeks - writing cards, wrapping presents, listening to Bing Crosby and watching every Christmas movie I can get my hands on...

Oh I'm with you, preparing for Xmas is the best ! Although it must feel weird to spend Xmas under the sun for a Bostonian like you :) I remember my first Thanksgiving in Florida at my in-laws, and back then their neighbor's snowman and reindeer outdoor xmas decor didn't quite match with the warm weather (and they had Xmas carols playing outside their house ALL day long...fun at first, annoying within a few hours) xx

I reckon there's a lot of closet Christmas fans out there really. I love it too. Diana Krall's xmas album is on a constant loop at our place at the moment. But I love Bing too! Christmas isn't always warm in Tasmania, most of the time it's sort of grey which seems wrong too! I would love to have a proper white Christmas one year!

I LOVE Bing Crosby...all the 'old' christmas carols, they are the best!

I can imagine how different it is to celebrate a warm christmas but I truly hope it is beautiful christmas just the same :)

I love getting into the spirit of it all too. I've wrapped my presents, made my Christmas garland and have a big bowl of Christmas chocolates out on the table. So much fun. Hope you're not missing the snow too much x

Well you know my obsession with the festive season matches yours. We're Christmas fanatics together, yes!

Good work on the card front, that's the one thing that I still have left to do, but you've inspired me to just get on with it!

Bing Crosby is classic (as is Elvis - have you heard it, it's my fav!) and i'm totally with you on the Christmas film front. So far i've watched some genius ones (Home Alone, White Christmas, ELF!! and Love Actually) and then some pretty cheesy ones like Fred Claus. Although the North Pole in that film is exactly how I imagine.

Lots of love xxx
