This week I've been so consumed by and in awe of the madness surrounding Oprah's visit, that I completely forget to vent my frustration on the most annoying of subjects: the mosquito.
Despite the constant itching there is a positive spin to this, and I seem to have become more interesting to children. On the bus today the child behind me, blurted out "mummy, what are all those red bumps on that lady?" as I tried to slide down further into the seat and hide. Hopefully I'm not the only one with such a strong hatred towards this insect but if anyone has any home remedies please feel free to share before I have to battle the mosquito beasts in Bali!

Eating raw garlic is awesome - but then you might get small children saying "mummy why does that lady smell funny"...
I hate the mozzies during this period but the flies are the worst. I wish I could suggest a good repellent :(
Love, I get eaten alive by the awful things too! Any repellent with a high content of DEET is your bff.
I've heard that taking vitamin B (or eating lots of Marmite which contains it apparantely) is meant to repell them. Might be worth giving that a try.
I've been watching the Oprah madness on the news over here. It looks hectic! xxx
it's even worse down the south coast. i have never seen mosquitos that big!
lucas's paw paw ointment (the stuff in the red tube) is great for helping with the itchiness.
Only you...
Yes paw paw works for me too ... my son is off to Bali tomorrow, my first Christmas without him, but he will have fun !!!
