Milford Sound...

Okay the New Zealand photos continue...only a few more posts I promise and by now the only people even looking at these will be my parents.  After Queenstown we took the 2 hour drive to Te Anau which would be our base camp for the next 2 days.  We rented a little house and got to unwind, have a bbq and catch up on the world news which tragically was covering the devastation in Japan.

There was one reason for our stop in Te Anau: Milford Sound.  This was by far the most majestic sight I've ever seen and the sheer scale of how untouched and huge those mountain peaks were is hard to capture in a photograph. The drive alone was stunning but we lucked out by having blue skies for most of our cruise through the sound.  Amazing.

it has taken me a day to build up the confidence to come and view this post. I saw the title, and knew it would be a hard post for me to read. My mum went to Milford Sound when she was in NZ with her friends. She was there only a few weeks before she passed away. These images are somewhat comforting for me. She got to see a place so peaceful and beautiful.

Thank you! xx
