Perhaps it's the change in season and the need for comfort food or perhaps it's because I love to eat but whatever the reason, I have been obsessing over food blogs lately. Each morning, with coffee in hand, I scroll past one image after another until the drool collects in a pool in front of me. One of my favourite reads is a gem called What Katie Ate and if you ever want to feel inadequate about how your dinner looks when served, please check it out. The girls works wonders not only in the kitchen but behind the lens. Do you know how hard it is to photograph food? I have whipped up a tasty dinner or two and have attempted in vain to photograph for this little blog here only to recoil in horror when the image looks like a pile of prison slop. Think I'm joking? It just so happened that I was reading her blog the other day and came across this recipe for toasted muesli (i.e. granola). I was feeling rather domestic so I gave it a go and have to say the end result was pretty delicious. So not only did I channel my inner Martha Stewart by making my own homemade granola but the images didn't come out half bad either!
