Sometime on Saturday morning I took my plan and threw it out the window. I'm not sure if it was the stack of dishes waiting to be washed or the intimidating pile of fabric that was waiting to be sewn but for some reason I lost all motivation to be productive this weekend. Since we had no plans or obligations I embraced this freedom and ran with it. So what did I do instead, you ask? Well I met up with some girlfriends, laughed loudly, drank too much champagne and danced to Whitney Houston (how could anyone resist?)
I continued my unproductive streak on Sunday by happily leaving the house a mess and going to cheer on some friends as they played soccer. The rest of the day was spent soaking up the sun, reading books and taking in this amazing view of Sydney Harbour. So yes, as I write this the dishes are still in the sink, the apartment is still a mess and I'm feeling a bit guilty about not completing any of the tasks I set out to do but I've found that sometimes not crossing things off the 'to do' list can be just as enjoyable. Hope your weekend was equally as (un)productive...

Some weekends are like that aren't they? Ah well, sounds like you had a lovely time and far more fun than washing the dishes would have been!xx
There's no way you'd catch me inside on a day like that.
Sounds like a great weekend to me!
Ah plans who would choose dishes over sunshine and that view! It looks pretty darn perfect to me.
dancing and reading sounds totally productive to me!
So true so true. Screw the to do list and live!

That looks like the view from Cremorne Point- I was married right on Cremorne Point. We lived in a little unit in Cremorne for a couple years. Brings back fond memories. Sounds like a lovely weekend. xo m.
