the beginning...

So it has occurred to me recently that I have been:

1. spending countless hours online looking in a stalker like fashion at blogs from around the world

2. i have been horrible at keeping in touch with just about everyone (which i'm sure is a result of #1) 

This, when combined with a 'to do' list that is ever growing and a journal that is currently empty, lead me to the oh so simple solution of - why don't I start my own blog?  So here I am.  I figure if I'm already spending time in blog land why not spend a few more minutes and create a journal full of all the stuff in my head. I hope this space will help me to better connect with loved ones near and far (such as my sisters pictured with me here) as well as keep track of my wish list of craft projects, attempts to cook and other life adventures.  I have no idea where this will lead but I'm excited to find out...
