Home.
A simple word conjures up so many emotions these days and I've come to accept that my heart belongs in two places, miles apart. I was lucky enough to head back to Boston this past week (or specifically the glorious suburb of Stoneham, Massachusetts) for some much needed family time.
For seven blissful days I lounged around my house with the family, feasted on Easter dinner, read the paper and drank coffee with my dad, spent quality time with my mom and sisters, explored the streets of Boston, drank wine and caught up with friends, celebrated our engagement and most importantly, soaked up every minute spent with my beautiful niece who completely stole my heart, again.
It was a week I was grateful to have the opportunity to have, full of emotion and well worth the jet lag. I miss them already...

I don't know how you do it living so far away.
That boy must be damn special I say!!!
And well I suppose he is! He asked you to marry him and you said yes!
I can't tell you how much your week home with us meant., makes me miss you even more!!! Still laughing about the "sprinkle"!
Love you!
Welcome back to Oz. Your photos are so beautiful, what a heartfelt post. Thanks for sharing it. Heather xx
it's so hard to have your heart in two places and not something many people can relate to. i know when i return home i get glimpses of how life could be. there is always a grieving process that happens when i return home. i find some returns are harder than others.
